I grew up in a small Texas town, spending my childhood in my grandparents’ salvage yard and watching my trailblazing mother start and run a small production oil company. Like many small-town kids, I didn’t know what options I had or what I was capable of, and I entered college unsure of my path. I studied Wildlife Biology, but I also excelled in my sport, and found myself at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO. It was there that I formed a pivotal relationship with a sports psychologist who sparked my passion for psychology, coaching, and helping guide others through self-exploration.
This led me to a decade of coaching at the national level and after a few years of working in sales, a leap of faith to pursue a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology. Along the way, I balanced school, family, and a rewarding 20-year career that spanned roles including practicing psychologist, consultant, Texas A&M faculty, and Associate Director of the Center for Executive Development at the renowned Mays School of Business. Each step in my career deepened my commitment to guiding others toward exploration, growth and fulfillment.
Now, as a Career Ownership Coach® with The Entrepreneur’s Source, I feel a great sense of satisfaction in helping others explore new possibilities, rediscover passions, and take charge of their futures—whether through business ownership or finding clarity in their next chapter. Life has taught me that every journey is unique, and I’d love to help you navigate yours!
